The goal of PISDEC is to promote the culture of justice and peace for a sustainable development and facilitate conflict resolution through dialogue and non violent ways.
We approach this in many different ways:
Human rights: We advocate for those who have had their rights unjustly abused. For example, we assist people who are unjustly jailed to get their trial straight. We especially work to promote women’s and children’s rights, and fight against against enrollment of child soldiers into the army or armed groups.
Education: We focus on empowering and mobilizing people to recognize their rights and uphold them.
Good governance: We teach people to be wise and awake their critical thinking when holding their leaders accountable as we are approaching the presidential elections next year in December 2016.
Environment: We encourage ourselves and the Congolese citizens to plant more trees.
Economical Reliance: We empower women with low income to be economically independent through rotated loans.
